KUHL Ryzer Pullover review: long sleeve comfort and performance, perfect for layering on the trail and around town Outdoor Apparel

KUHL Ryzer Pullover

The Men's KUHL Ryzer combines style and performance in an ultra-versatile long sleeve pullover. With a streamlined fit, it’s great on its own or layered, and it’s equally at home on the trail or around town.

The Ryzer Pullover is a super comfortable long sleeve that has been my go-to this season for everything from cool waterfall-chasing mornings to around-town bike rides and hanging out at Asheville’s breweries. The pullover’s soft, stretchy, breathable sweater knit fabric wears well and offers plenty of give for full range of motion when I’m on the move. And the streamlined fit allows for easy layering, and gives the pullover a stylish, casual look, perfect for grabbing food after an adventure.

Men’s KUHL Ryzer Pullover: our trail-tested review

It’s become my go-to long sleeve: I love wearing the Ryzer, thanks to its great fit, performance, and versatility. It easily transitions from trail to town and keeps me comfortable no matter the adventure. Its sweater knit fabric is super soft, and offers a little stretch for extra comfort when I’m active on the trail. And the fabric is warm yet breathable and wicking, keeping me dry and comfortable when the terrain gets tough or the temps rise later in the day.

Scrambling over rocky trails or reaching for that next hand hold is no problem thanks to the Ryzer’s articulated sleeves and stretchy fabric, allowing full range of motion. And the sleeve length is generous, which is great for my long-ish arms when I’m on the move.

With our ever-changing weather and unpredictable seasons, layering is key here in the South. Temperatures and weather patterns can change rapidly throughout the day during all four seasons, especially in the mountains: chilly sunrise-chasing mornings can quickly turn to a swelter by noon, and then a cold drizzle before sunset. The Ryzer’s thin profile makes it ideal for layering, and it comfortably pairs with a puffy or hardshell rain jacket for protection from cold or wet weather. The Ryzer also features a quarter-zip neck for easy, quick ventilation when temperatures or activity levels fluctuate. And thumb loops keep the sleeves in place when I’m donning an outer shell or jacket.

Detailing like KUHL’s signature stitching and embroidered logos give the Ryzer a polished look that wears well off trail. It’s one great looking long sleeve, and seriously, I wear it just about everywhere.
