The ENO Lounger DL makes chilling out at our favorite music festival, campsite, or backyard BBQ all the more comfy. With adjustable height legs, a supportive headrest, and a high back, this is pretty much the ultimate in portable lounge chairs.

We’re longtime fans of ENO SingleNest and DoubleNest hammocks, and carry several with us on just about any adventure. But sometimes a hammock isn’t the right choice for chilling out at every venue. When lack of mature trees, crowd sizes, and certain locations limit our ENO Hammock possibilities, we reach for the next best thing: the Lounger DL by ENO.

Our favorite camp chairs: ENO Lounger DL Chair review

The Lounger DL has been our constant companion on recent car camping trips, lazy days hanging out at the park, and backyard get-togethers with friends. The comfy fabric seat, high back with headrest, and adjustable height legs make it the perfect way to chill out when we can’t hammock. The chair is lightweight and packs down small, so it’s easy to throw in a camp duffle or load in the back seat.

All the comfort of an ENO hammock, in a camp chair: our ENO Lounger DL review

Our campsite-tested Lounger DL review

The chair’s simple construction makes it a snap to assemble. The aluminum alloy shock-corded frame nearly puts itself together with just a few shakes, and any remaining unsecured poles slide quickly into the plastic connection points. Once it’s assembled, the durable ripstop nylon seat slips onto the frame, and we’re ready to relax and enjoy a gorgeous summit view or event.

The Lounger DL is pretty much perfect for all-day or all-night chilling. The nylon fabric seat breathes easily and provides excellent ventilation on warm weather adventures, and the high back and pillow headrest just about beg us to sit back and relax. The deep bucket-style seat remains ultra-comfortable even after hours around the campfire.

The versatile chair features adjustable legs, with a fully- extended max height of 37″, and 30″ with the legs folded. And adjusting the chair’s height is super easy thanks to the shock-cord frame construction: pull the lower legs from the pole, guide the shock cord into the slot, and secure the feet to the base frame.

The chair also features a cargo pocket with plenty of space for a book, iPad, phone, or other small gear. We haven’t had much luck with stowing a full beverage in the chair’s cup holder, but it’s great for stashing keys, a phone, or small campfire essentials.

When it’s time to break camp or head home after the event, the Lounger DL breaks down quickly and stows in the included carry case. The zippered case features a shoulder strap for easy carrying, and once it’s packed, the chair fits neatly in our camp duffle, SUV, or gear closet.

ENO Lounger DL review wrap-up

It’s lightweight and ultra-comfy. The Lounger DL is one of our favorite ways to relax at a campsite, event or backyard BBQ, and perfect for those times when our ENO hammocks just wouldn’t work. The deep bucket-like seat, pillow headrest, and adjustable height give us the comfort and flexibility that’s pretty much perfect for any adventure.
